Hindu-Buddhist candi/temple archeological site (AGED FROM 2,000 YEARS AGO) digging lead by the expert from the National University/UKM and the Museum Department of Kuala Lumpur at work. Visitor can see part of this site located near Hjh Meryam house (one of homestay participant).

Attractive places around Kg Kota Aur:
1. Activity bisek bisek in buying the fish at the base of fishing village of Kota Kuala Muda, Penang. This method is the only way in Malaysia as the way trading on buying fresh fish from the fishermen brought up in through earwhispered for prices. Situated about 4 km from Kg Kota Aur.
2. Boat cruise from the Permatang Bendahari (3 km from Kg Kota Aur) to cross the river to the town of Kuala Muda Muda in Kedah (Organizer can provide a facility for the Muda River ala  [Melaka River Cruise River Cruise-style] if there is demand). Now there is a newly constructed bridge that connects directly from Province of Wellesley (now Seberang Perai Utara) to Kuala Muda in Kedah.
3. Homes collapsed due to the tsunami in 2004 with the location -i) around Kg KualaMuda, Penang (about 3.5 km from Kg Kota Aur) and - ii) near Kg. Kuala Sungai Muda, Kedah (about 6.5 km from Kg Kota Aur with a more complete tourist facilities).
4. Dam water lock system in Kg Sungai Muda/ Permatang Kabu-Million Ringgit project (about 2 km from Kg Kota Aur).
5. Buying fish activity (also seashell) who brought to the fishermen  at Perangin Lahar Endir, near Penaga Town (about 2.5 kg of Kg Aur City).
6. Kamlon Coast Recreation Area; natural phenomena of lakes formed by change of flow of Muda River trend (about 6 km from Kg Kota Aur).
7. Places known as Independence/Merdeka Beach and Island Sayak, Kuala Muda, Kedah (about 15 km from Kg Kota Aur) with nice Malay food especially shrimp noodle. You can take the boat crossing to Tanjung Dawai, Kedah and shops for dried seastuff including the belacan.
8. There are many places to enjoy food from the north such as laksa rice noodle soup, shrimp noodles, mixed rice Malay cuisine (northern style), grilled fish, etc. (see photos above).

1. Bardah activities and marhaban - Events read the verses from the holy Quran by the group of women villagers.

3. Group playing drums and martial art and also tomoy (the Thai kick boxing).
4. Making traditional sweet/i.e. kueh karas.
5. Visit to goat farm.

6. Visit and shopping at village cottage industry/frozen food i.e. curry puff, fish ball etc.

2. Riverside park; part of the River Beautification project at the Kg Kota Aur called Riverside part of the village.
3. ‘Ban’ or drainage systems (canals) for irrigation of paddy in Kg Kota Aur.
4. Red stones temple ruins of Hindu / Buddhist @Hajjah Meryam near the house (one of the homestay project participants).
5. Wooden houses (and half bricks) traditional Malay  style with livestock such as chickens, chicken piru (turkey), ducks and geese roaming around the house for you to feed(some homeowners still have fresh water wells which can still be used).
6. Projects keep ornamental fish with fish ponds with beautiful lotus tree.
7. Some homeowners still have the old equipment such as a throw rice (now all use the machine); stone mortar, stone machinery, etc. flour cakes.

8. Project to grow sheep and cattle. Tourists can see the goat barn, built shelter for the goats.

Public facilities in Kg Kota Aur, Pulau Pinang:
1. Major roads and highways (mini tar) is paved.
2. New Jamek Mosque (2 floors) is currently under construction (Government project) with KAFA religious schools. There is also a madrassa within the Village in Kg Kota Aur.
3. A row of shop houses (restaurants, retail shops and offices of agricultural cooperatives population).
4. Rural Library Kg Kota Aur (very active).
5. i) Ease of private bus (route linking the town Kg Kota Aur RESIDENCES and Butterworth) see below/  ii) Ease of government buses [Rapid_Penang] (route linking Kg Permatang Tok Labu [located next to Kg. Kota Aur] to the town of Kepala Batas and Butterworth).
6. Community halls.
7. Mini soccer field for public use (used as the main sports venue of Kg Kota Aur) held each year.
8. Muda riverbank park in Kg Kota Aur Riverside  (now in the stage of recosntruction for the mega mitigation project work Muda River flood reallignment by DID).
